Basic Traits
All basic traits can be picked from the start, IE they don't require anything.
Ironman

| Effect | Max health and current health are increased by 10 per rank. With no points in Iro, a player begins with 50 HP. |
Finesse

| Unlocks | Juggler (1 rank), Whizkid (2 ranks) |
| Effect | Attack time is decreased by 15% per rank. |
Hellrunner

| Unlocks | Dodgemaster (2 ranks) |
| Effect | Movement time is reduced by 15% per rank. This effectively increases your dodging chance by the same amount, as well. |
Tough as Nails
Unlocks: Badass (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 3(5)
Shorthand: TaN
Effect: Armor is increased by 1 (stacks with all other sources of armor).
Son of a Bitch
Unlocks: Triggerhappy (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 3(5)
Shorthand: SoB
Effect: 1 extra damage is dealt per bullet fired. Works with melee weapons, shotguns, overcharged BFGs, you name it.
Son of a Gun
Unlocks: Dualgunner (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 3(5)
Shorthand: SoG
Effect: Pistol firing time is reduced by 20% and pistols do 1 more damage per shot. (effects stack with Finesse and SoaB, respectively).
Note: The minimum firing rate for any weapon is 0.1sec, so SoG(5) will only reduce your firing time to this minimum.
Reloader
Unlocks: Shottyman (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 3
Shorthand: Rel
Effect: Reload time of all weapons is reduced by 20%.
Eagle Eye
Unlocks: Intuition (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 3(5)
Shorthand: EE
Effect: Increases your chance to hit by 2 points.
Brute
Unlocks: Berserker (rank 2)
Max. Ranks: 3(5)
Shorthand: Bru
Effect: Melee attacks gain 3 damage per hit and 2 chance to hit.
